Bull Market Securities is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Settlements Analyst to join our Operations team in Miami. This role supports the full post-trade lifecycle and requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of settlement processes. The ideal candidate has prior experience in financial operations and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and oversee daily trade settlements across asset classes including Fixed Income, Equities, and FX.
- Reconcile trades, positions, and cash balances with custodians, brokers, and counterparties.
- Investigate and resolve settlement breaks and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage trade confirmations through SWIFT, email, and electronic platforms.
- Coordinate with Trading, Risk, Compliance, and other internal teams to support operational workflows.
- Maintain internal controls, documentation standards, and operational best practices.
- Assist in onboarding new custodians, brokers, and settlement processes.
- Support regulatory filings, internal reporting, and audit requests.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in Settlements, Middle Office, or Operations within a broker-dealer or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
- Knowledge of clearing and custody platforms (DTCC, Euroclear, Clearstream, prime brokers).
- Fluent in Spanish (required).
- FINRA Licenses Series 7 or Series 99
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in Excel and operational systems.
- Experience with Bloomberg TOMS is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
