Job Description:
Driving for Bulkmatic is a hands-on position that combines professional driving with physical work and customer interaction. Approximately two-thirds of your workday will be spent operating your vehicle, while the remaining time will involve loading and unloading materials using specialized pneumatic equipment and providing excellent service to customers at delivery locations.
Drivers benefit from predictable freight, dedicated lanes, and consistent start times, allowing for greater routine and planning in their schedules. With established routes and regular customer locations, you'll have the opportunity to build familiarity with your deliveries while enjoying the stability of a dependable operation.
Home Time:
At our Decatur Terminal our drivers do primarily local work, but there is some regional work based on customer needs. The drivers at this location are primarily HOME DAILY, however, there may be an occasional night out. There will be weeks when a driver is home every night and some weeks when a driver needs to stay out overnight based on customer needs. Bulkmatic provides hotel rooms and a per diem for overnight stays.
There is some weekend work at this location. **We have Day and Night Shift positions available!!!
Pay:
Bulkmatic drivers in Decatur, AL are currently averaging between $80,000- $90,000 per year.
We are also offering a $3,000 sign-on Bonus!!

Job Requirements:
- Be at least 23 years old to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle interstate Must possess a valid Class A CDL with at least 1-year Tractor Trailer driving experience.
- Driving Experience should be within the past 10 years; within the past 5 years is preferred.
- Military driving experience will be considered.
- Be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, andto make entries on reports and records
- Be physically and mentally qualified to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid medical certificate as defined by the FMCSA
- Must not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the rules and regulations set forth by the FMCSA
- Meet all the requirements and be able to perform all of the tasks and essential duties of the job description You must have a valid CDL Class A license in the State that you reside in or in cases of recent relocation the ability to change license within 30 days.
- Hazmatendorsement required at certain locations. Tank endorsement not required for dry bulk.
- Must not have more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- No Speeding Violations of 15 mph or over pending or adjudicated in the last 3 years
- No Careless / Reckless driving convictions within past 3 years
- No Erratic or Improper lane change violations within the last 3 years.
- No Distraction or Handheld device violations within the past 1 year.
- No alcohol or drug related violations within the past 10 years. The following are not allowed in the past 3 years:
- Preventable accidents: Head on, Rollover, Rear End, Jackknife, Struck side of other vehicle
- No more than 1 Preventable Road accident in the past 3 years
- No more than a combination of 1 Preventable Road accident and 1 Preventable off-road accident in past 3 years
- No more than 2 Preventable off-road accidents allowed in the past 3 years
- No safety related suspensions or Suspensions resulting from a previous citation/violation in last 10 years
- Not more than 1 administrative suspension in last 3 years, not more than 2 in the last 5 years
Wage Range: 80000.00 - 90000.00 per year
