Description
Bulkley Richardson is seeking a smart, motivated, and detail-oriented Legal Billing/Accounting Specialist to join our busy accounting department. This position will work closely with attorneys, legal assistants, staff, and a collaborative accounting team to support the firm's billing and accounting functions.
Responsibilities include generating draft invoices for attorney review, following up to ensure billing deadlines are met, editing and finalizing invoices, distributing invoices to clients, posting cash receipts, assisting with accounts receivable, responding professionally to client billing inquiries by phone and email, and providing additional accounting support as needed, including backup assistance with accounts payable.
The ideal candidate will be organized, accurate, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Two years experience in staff accounting/bookkeeping or an associate’s degree in accounting required. Proficiency with MS Office, including strong working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, required.
Schedule, Compensation and Benefits
· In-person in our Springfield office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (37.5 hours/week)
· Hourly rate range is $27.00 to $29.00 per hour commensurate with experience
