While performing the duties of this job, prolonged standing, walking, and manual dexterity are required. The employee will also need to bend, climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 50 lbs.

Duties And Requirements
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and component replacements
- Respond to service calls and complete work orders accurately
- Maintain fleet reliability for steel mill and mobile equipment operations
- Utilize diagnostic software and maintenance systems to track repairs
- Communicate equipment status and parts needs with site leadership
- Other duties as required
- 3-5 years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment and a strong working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems, diesel engines, Cat SIS, Cummins INSITE, Volvo Penta, etc.
- At least 2 years of heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Intermediate computer skills
- Experience with diagnostic software
- Ability to work independently and make sound troubleshooting decisions
- Valid driver's license with acceptable record
- Must have your own tools from ¼ inch to 1 inch drive impact wrenches, socket sets, and wrenches up to 2 inches
- Willingness to work shift schedules, overtime, and occasional weekends
- Steel mill and industrial environment
- Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
