Accounting Associate

We provide life/health, property/casualty product lines to strategically meet the needs of the clients' employees and overall business, along with providing HR consulting services, and compliance and benefit administration to our clients. Bukaty Companies, LLC was founded in 1992 by Mike Bukaty beginning as a two-person office, the business has grown to nearly 200 employees with four office locations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor bank activity and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Record cash receipts to the general ledger for the Property and Casualty business.
• Assisting and preparation of month end balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations related to the Property and Casualty business.
• Prepare and record journal entries for routine business activities.
• Assisting in month-end closings, yearly audits and financial management reports.
• Pulling commission carrier statements and tracking of monthly commissions for the Property and Casualty business.
• Other duties assigned by Department Management.

• Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in Business or Accounting
• 1-5 years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
• Experience using QuickBooks and/or other comparable Accounting Systems.
• Strong attention to detail, enjoys working with numbers.
• Strong oral and written communication skills needed and ability to work in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
