Entry-Level Mobility Equipment Service Technician

We are looking for someone who has basic power tool skills and a respectable personality that can be trained on the job. For example: Do you work on your own car repairs? Can you troubleshoot tasks with basic guidance in-person or on the phone? Are you courteous and patient with elderly customers who have medical conditions?

We are a small, growing company that works in a niche field with over 15 years of operations. We do not expect you to start with all the knowledge needed, but we do expect you to be able to continually learn as you go with guidance. You will need to be able to lift up to 80 lbs. at times, manipulate tools and equipment, and drive a work van safely.

Service Repair Technician (entry level)

Duties:

· Assist and learn to be independent regarding the repair and maintenance of power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, stairlifts, and other similar equipment.

· Assemble and serve as a delivery driver of durable medical equipment (DME) to the local VA Hospital and private customer residences.

· Go on local and long-distance service calls.

· Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.

· Assist other coworkers when needed.


The starting pay is $18 with no experience and can be higher based on previous experience in this field. If you quickly demonstrate the skills we seek, it will help speed up increases in your compensation. We have 3% company contributions to an IRA after one year of employment. Paid holidays and vacation are also tied to length of employment.
