Builtech is currently seeking a Project Engineer ready to join our fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Distribute new or updated drawings and specifications
- Research drawing interpretations, problems, conflicts, interferences and errors
- Research, transmit and monitor RFI's
- Prepare a submittal log in accordance with the project schedule and specifications
- Monitor and expedite submittals in accordance with the submittal log and project requirements. Follow through as required
- Maintain and update status reports and update schedules
- Attend and document project meetings
- Oversee general correspondence as required
- Manage close-out process
- Assist with change order documentation and compilation
- Perform additional assignments per project manager or superintendent direction
- Support onsite safety program to maintain a safe jobsite per the requirements of the Builtech Safety Plan
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required (preferably in Construction Management or Engineering)

- Knowledge and proficiency in the following computer software systems: MS Office, MS Project and preferably, Procore
- Leadership skills including self-awareness, time management, positivity, assertiveness, delegation, negotiation, and organization
- Willingness to travel to job sites (locally or nationally) as needed
- Ability to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time
- The ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as computer keyboards, copy machines, and computer printers
- The ability to occasionally lift and carry lightweight office items like supplies or equipment
- Valid driver’s license

Position Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree is Preferred (Preferably in Construction Management or Engineering)
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and knowledge of construction software
- A self-starting, highly motivated and goal-oriented individual
- Must be able to lift/move materials up to 40lbs in weight
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
- Valid Drivers License
