Carpentry Crew Member – Modular Setup & Breakdown
Location: Based in Riverton, UT | Travel required to Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming Employment Type: Ongoing Contract Work (No End)
Pay: $20–$24/hour to start (Raises over time)
About the Role
We are building out a carpentry crew to support the setup and breakdown of modular offices being transported to construction job sites across Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. This is entry-to-mid level carpentry work — we're looking for someone newer to the trade who is eager to learn, coachable, and ready to grow with the crew. This is ongoing contract work; Part of our current contracted crew members have been with us for 3 years.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the on-site setup of modular office units after transport, including leveling, anchoring, and assembly
- Break down and prep modular units for transport, securing components for the road
- Perform carpentry tasks related to modular assembly/disassembly: framing, fastening, trim, and general structural work
- Work alongside the driver and crew to coordinate loading, unloading, and site logistics
- Climb stairs and work at height as part of setup and breakdown
- Travel to job sites in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming as assigned
- Follow all site safety protocols, including MSHA surface requirements
Schedule
Hours vary by job — expect a mix of long and short days depending on project needs. This is very busy, year-round work.
Requirements
- MSHA Surface certification required
- Entry-to-mid level carpentry experience — we'll train the right person
- Eager to learn and coachable
- Physically able to handle demanding work: climbing stairs, lifting, and working outdoors year-round in varying weather and wind
- Must pass a urinalysis drug screening
- Must pass FBI background check/clearance — no felony convictions
- Willing to travel for multi-day jobs in UT, ID, and WY
- Able to work well as part of a small crew
Preferred Skills
- Basic hand and power tool proficiency
- Comfort working at heights and on active/uneven construction sites
- Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving instincts
- Reliable and safety-conscious
PPE
- Employee-provided: work boots, long pants, long-sleeved shirts
- Company-provided: branded t-shirts and sweatshirts, hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves (some job sites have specific PPE requirements)
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $20–$24/hour
- Per diem provided for travel days

We are an active commercial trucking carrier based in Utah, specializing in transporting modular trailers and alternative cargo throughout Utah, Eastern Nevada, Western Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
