Job Description
We are hiring a dependable Tow Truck Driver / Car Processor to support a busy scrap metal and vehicle recycling operation in Ogden, UT. This role is responsible for picking up scrap vehicles, verifying documentation, processing cars for recycling, and documenting vehicle destruction.
This is a hands-on position in an active recycling yard environment. The right person will be safety-minded, reliable, comfortable around vehicles and equipment, and willing to help with additional yard or warehouse duties when needed.
Responsibilities
- Pick up scrap vehicles from customers, job sites, and assigned locations
- Safely operate a tow truck and follow all traffic, DOT, and company safety requirements
- Verify vehicle documentation before pickup and processing
- Process vehicles for recycling according to company procedures
- Accurately document vehicle destruction
- Communicate with dispatch, yard staff, customers, and supervisors
- Inspect vehicles and identify any safety concerns before moving or processing
- Maintain basic pickup, route, and vehicle records
- Assist with general yard, warehouse, recycling, or clean-up duties as needed
- Help keep the work area safe, organized, and productive
Qualifications
- Class B CDL required
- Tow Truck Certification is a major plus, but it can be obtained
- 3 years Tow truck experience
- Rollback, flatbed, roll-off, or similar commercial driving experience preferred
- Scrap yard, recycling yard, auto salvage, towing, trucking, or heavy equipment experience is a plus
- Comfortable working outdoors in an industrial yard environment
- Able to review paperwork and keep accurate documentation
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Safety-minded and willing to follow proper procedures
- Willing to help with yard and processing duties outside of driving when needed
- Professional attitude when working with customers and team members

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
