Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks with manual transmission, to deliver goods to various locations following designated routes.
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring products are handled with care.
- Verify delivery orders, complete delivery paperwork, and obtain signatures to confirm successful deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer questions and ensuring a positive experience during each delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, including inventory management and stock replenishment.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, stacking pallets, and preparing shipments for dispatch.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving familiarity.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission.
- Strong customer service skills to communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely, often involving heavy lifting or moving items manually or using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Warehouse experience including load & unload procedures, inventory management, and safety protocols.
