Position Summary
BUiLT is seeking a Workshop Helper to support our shop and warehouse teams with a variety of production and organizational tasks. This position plays a key role in helping maintain workflow efficiency by assisting with sanding and finishing casework, preparing hardware for projects, packaging materials, and keeping the warehouse organized and operating smoothly.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, enjoys hands-on work, and is willing to assist wherever needed in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist shop team members with sanding, surface preparation, and finishing of cabinetry, casework, and custom fixtures.
- Support production staff with general shop tasks as assigned.
- Sort, count, label, and package hardware for production and installation projects.
- Assemble hardware kits and verify quantities against project requirements.
- Prepare finished products and components for shipment or installation.
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the shop and warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory organization, material storage, and warehouse housekeeping.
- Support receiving and stocking of incoming materials and supplies.
- Follow company quality standards and safety procedures.
- Perform additional production and warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, construction, cabinetry, millwork, or shop environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to accurately count, sort, package, and organize materials and hardware.
- Experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory practices is a plus.
