What You’ll Do
Drive Waste Reduction & Efficiency
- Identify, measure, and reduce material waste, scrap, and inefficiencies
- Improve labor utilization, runtime performance, and overall production efficiency
- Partner with Operations to analyze performance trends and implement practical improvements
- Develop clear, actionable metrics that support accountability and continuous improvement
- Collaborate closely with Operations to solve problems and improve performance on the floor
- Provide Accounting with accurate production cost data and insights to support inventory valuation and cost updates
- Deliver production cost trends and variance insights to FP&A for planning and forecasting
- Translate operational data into clear, actionable recommendations
- Serve as the financial checkpoint in the work order close process
- Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to closure
- Validate labor, routing, and production data within NetSuite
- Execute final work order close and ensure accurate cost finalization and WIP clearance
- Analyze cost variances with a focus on material usage and labor efficiency
- Identify trends and recurring issues impacting performance
- Partner with Operations to implement sustainable corrective actions
- Improve processes that support accurate, timely work order closure
- Reinforce clear ownership between transactional execution and financial review
- Enhance reporting and system utilization to support rapid company growth
- 7 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting, operations finance, or similar
- Strong partnership experience with Operations or plant leadership
- Deep understanding of production processes and cost drivers
- ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred
- Experience with routings and work centers
- Proven ability to turn data into actionable operational improvements
