The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead and optimize our manufacturing functions. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, operational efficiency, quality control, safety, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven leader with a strong background in manufacturing management, team leadership, and lean methodologies. This role reports directly to the COO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of food manufacturing operations, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, engineering, sanitation, and supply chain support.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, product quality, employee engagement, and profitability.
- Oversee production planning to meet sales demand, minimize waste, optimize inventory levels, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, HR, and Finance to align operations with broader business objectives.
- Build a high-performance culture by recruiting, developing, mentoring, and retaining top talent across all operational levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, preparing and presenting regular reports to executive leadership.
- Manage plant budgets, capital projects, and cost control efforts effectively.
- Ensure health and safety standards are strictly adhered to, fostering a culture of safety first.
- Lead expansion efforts including new product introductions, facility upgrades, and potential new plant startups.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and leading high-performance teams.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems (ERP, MES) and process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multi-site operations (preferred).

- Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division.
- Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.
- Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required.
Full-time position, working at our American Fork, Utah manufacturing plant.
