Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role. Various locations across the country. Currently in CEDAR RAPIDS IOWA AND Abilene, TX. We arr seeking s Certified Peer Support Specialist to lead these onsite clinics. The Specialist will provide personalized peer support to individuals navigating recovery from behavioral health challenges. Day-to-day tasks include facilitating coaching sessions, fostering accountability in participants, offering empathetic guidance, facilitating groups, providing awareness/educational talks and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance participant outcomes. Additionally, the role involves assisting individuals in accessing recovery resources and maintaining progress through ongoing support and engagement. Heavy on case coordination and referral / linkage.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Support skills to effectively connect with and assist participants.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting to address participants’ needs and challenges promptly.
- Analytical Skills to assess participant progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
- Basic expertise in Technical Support to guide participants in using digital tools and platforms.
- Experience with behavioral health recovery or certification as a peer support specialist is strongly preferred.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in participant interactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or relevant training is a plus.
