Role Description
The Mixed-Use Superintendent will oversee day-to-day construction activities for mixed-use ground-up development projects, ensuring deadlines, budget, and quality standards are met. This full-time, on-site role in Irvine, CA, involves managing job site operations, supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating with project managers and stakeholders. The Superintendent will play a critical role in resolving issues, maintaining project timelines, safety compliance, and ensuring that work aligns with all architectural plans and design specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management, on-site supervision, and overseeing mixed-use, commercial or multi-family ground-up development projects.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards for mixed-use construction.
- Strong skills in communication, problem-solving, team leadership, and contractor management.
- Experience with scheduling, project management software, and cost estimation processes.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with an attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- OSHA 30-hour certification, First-aid certification, and other relevant safety training are a plus.
- Ability to manage large projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green certifications is an advantage.
