What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driller position at Building Talent Foundation?
we are seeking skilled and motivated equipment operators to join our team in the growing field of underground fiber installation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating specialized underground construction equipment, including but not limited to directional drills (JT 520 and similar rigs), bore machines, trenchers, and plows. This position plays a critical role in the deployment of fiber optic networks that connect and support our communities.
Key Responsibliities:
- Operate and maintain underground fiber installation equipment such as:
- Directional Drill (JT520 or similiar rigs)
- Plow/Trencher (410 or similar machines)
- Perform underground fiber optic construction, including trenching, plowing, drilling, and equipment setup.
- Ensure accurate and safe placement of fiber optic lines per project specifications.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies while working on-site.
- Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and crews to complete jobs Efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Directional Drill Operator, HDD operator, or related underground equipment operator.
- Knowledge of underground fiber construction methods and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and utility markings.
- strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
