This is a hands-on field position for someone who values craftsmanship, customer relationships, and working with a team that respects skilled tradespeople.Responsibilities:Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:Diagnose issues in commercial gas and oil fired steam and hot water boiler systemsIdentify problems with burner section, controls, piping, and all related componentsUse diagnostic tools and technical manuals to pinpoint system failuresAssess whether repairs or full replacements are neededRepairs & Component Replacement:Repair and replace burners, including combustion components and fuel systemsReplace pumps, valves, steam traps, pressure controls, and safety devicesRepair and replace piping, gaskets, refractory and sealsWork on boiler controls, sensors, and automation systemsInstallations & Major Projects:Perform complete commercial boiler replacementsInstall new boiler systems in existing mechanical roomsCoordinate with team on large-scale projectsMaintenance & Service:Conduct preventative maintenance inspectionsRespond to emergency breakdowns and service callsPerform seasonal startups and shutdownsTest and calibrate safety controls and operating systemsDocument all work, parts used, and system conditionsRequirements:Must Have:5 years hands-on experience with boiler/heating installation and serviceAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose commercial boiler systems.Ability to perform complete boiler replacements.Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, mechanical systems, and tools (e.g., soldering/brazing equipment, diagnostic testers).Valid driver's license with a clean recordAbility to lift 50 lbs. and work in tight spaces.Licenses (Must Have Updated):SST
