Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in early childhood education or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience working with the assigned age group (preferred).
- Meets all experience criteria required by the State of Texas.
Education & Certifications
- Meets all education requirements mandated by the State of Texas.
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or Child Development Permit preferred.

- Assist with center duties as needed in the absence of other staff.
- Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, and center events.

- Greet children and parents warmly at drop-off and pick-up.
- Demonstrate initiative in decision-making, crisis management, and transitions.

Program Responsibilities
- Complete child evaluations and conduct parent conferences.
- Contribute to monthly newsletters.
- Assign responsibilities to co-workers when appropriate.
- Notify parents promptly of illness, injury, or notable changes in their child.
- Plan, implement, and regularly update curriculum and materials.
- Maintain annual child portfolios.
- Ensure balanced daily schedules (indoor/outdoor, quiet/active, individual/group, staff-initiated/child-initiated activities).
- Encourage staff input on curriculum, environment, and program improvements.
- Maintain positive, engaging learning environments.
- Seek guidance on child development issues when necessary.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
Classroom Responsibilities
- Coordinate classroom duties with other Teachers and Assistant Teachers.
- Ensure compliance with child-teacher ratios at all times.
- Maintain accurate attendance and supervision records.
- Organize classroom for safe and effective supervision.
- Perform and delegate housekeeping tasks to maintain health and safety (e.g., wiping spills, clearing debris).
- Participate in safety drills with children.
Team & Family Interactions

Physical Demands & Work Environment

- Participate in active play, including dancing, running, jumping, and walking.
- Perform duties indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
