Building Kidz of Queensbury invites a dedicated Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant team. This role is key in supporting the development and care of young children, contributing to a nurturing and stimulating educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum, focusing on the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of children.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Use effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior in the classroom
- Foster literacy education by introducing reading and writing activities
- Uphold health and safety standards, adhering to all licensing and safety regulations.
- Assist with potty training
- Utilize classroom management strategies to create an organized and engaging learning environment
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a childcare or daycare setting
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and milestones
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all children
- Excellent organizational skills to plan and implement lessons effectively
