What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Teacher position at Building Blocks Preschool?
Building Blocks Preschool in Lenexa, KS is hiring a Lead Teacher to guide daily classroom instruction and care. If you're passionate about early childhood education and ready to lead a classroom, we'd love to hear from you!
Requirements (per KAR 28-4-429(E)):
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
Plus one of the following:
- Associate degree (or higher) in early childhood / child development
- Technical certificate or diploma in early childhood
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- 3 college credit hours in early childhood 3 months' related experience
- 6 months' experience providing direct care to children in the same age range
Before working with children, you'll need:
- A cleared background check
- Health assessment / TB screening on file
- CPR & First Aid certification (we'll help you complete this if needed)
