What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Director position at Building Blocks Preschool and Childcare?
Building Blocks, accredited Preschool and Learning Center is searching for a director. The ideal candidate has at least five years experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
When you join our team as a school director, you will:
- Be accountable for the operation of the school, ensuring that the school is operating in accordance with state licensing standards, accreditation standards, and company policies
- Be responsible for the financial success of the school, touring, enrolling, and retaining families
- Partner with parents and teachers, cultivating strong relationships to support a positive environment for the children in our care
- Interview, hire, train, and retain quality staff who have a passion for working with young children (infants-kindergarten)
- Identify staff members' opportunities for growth and provide appropriate training/coaching to enhance performance and foster a positive environment
Job Qualifications include:
- BS/BA degree in Education (Early Childhood, etc) or Business related field (Sales/Marketing) – with a strong desire to work in an education/customer service setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer knowledge including a working knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); knowledge of CRM a plus
