Your expertise will guide children through foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, motor development, and social interaction while collaborating closely with families and colleagues to ensure each child's success.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans tailored specifically for one-year-olds.
• Facilitate engaging lessons that promote language acquisition, early literacy skills, basic math concepts, and physical activity through play-based learning.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies to create a respectful and nurturing environment conducive to learning.
• Conduct regular assessments of child development progress using standardized testing methods and document observations to inform instructional strategies.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety, maintaining accurate records of incidents or concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports toddler care routines such as diapering, feeding, rest periods, and hygiene practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and implementing inclusive practices for children with special education needs or early intervention requirements.
• Stay current on best practices in early childhood education by participating in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, behavior management, and preschool teaching methodologies.

Experience

• Proven experience working with children aged one and two years old in a classroom or daycare setting.
• Prior experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, physical education activities, and behavioral management strategies.
• Experience managing classroom routines efficiently while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
