Job Summary:
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the entire manufacturing process. This includes overseeing production schedules, workflow, material sourcing, and team performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete manufacturing, experience in managing production teams, and a solid understanding of GFRC and UHPC technology and processes. This role is key to ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality Building Blocks Facades products that meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of BBF products while maximizing resource utilization.
- Work closely with the sales and project management teams to forecast demand and adjust production schedules as needed.
- Supervise and manage a team of production workers, including setting clear goals, providing daily guidance, and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for employee development and training.
- Promote a positive and productive work environment, fostering collaboration, teamwork, and a culture of safety and quality.
- Implement and maintain quality control standards for the GFRC and UHPC production process to ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
- Perform regular inspections of finished goods and processes to ensure quality specifications are met, identifying areas for improvement.
- Address and resolve quality issues quickly, ensuring corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.
- Continuously monitor and analyze production processes, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall production quality.
- Introduce new technologies or techniques to optimize BB production, such as automation or new curing methods.
- Ensure that all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Lead by example in promoting safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings, and ensuring all employees adhere to safety guidelines.
- Manage and monitor safety procedures in the manufacturing environment, including PPE usage and the safe handling of materials.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience in concrete manufacturing may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the concrete or GFRC/UHPC manufacturing industry.
- Strong background in managing production teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring quality control.
- Experience with the manufacturing and finishing processes related to GFRC and UHPC, including mixing, molding, curing, and finishing.
- Production Management: Proficiency in managing production schedules, materials, and resources efficiently.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team of production workers.
- Quality Control: In-depth understanding of quality assurance processes and techniques specific to concrete or GFRC/UHPC manufacturing.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address production issues, identify inefficiencies, and find solutions quickly.
- Safety Compliance: Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in manufacturing and construction environments, including OSHA standards.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively report production status and collaborate with different departments.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with production equipment, technology, and tools used in GFRC/UHPC manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
