What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Van Driver/Substitute Teacher position at Building Blocks Childcare Center?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable van driver to transport children in a safe and timely manner. The van driver will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained. The job is a split shift, part-time position. Must be 21 years or older.
Duties:
- Safely drive passengers to their destinations following a pre-planned route
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the van
- Maintain a clean and organized van interior
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with passengers to ensure a pleasant experience
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a Van Driver, Shuttle Driver, or similar role preferred
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with passengers
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance
