Job Summary
The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our child care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing staff, developing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with state regulations. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the child care program, ensuring high-quality education and care for all children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning and development.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members; provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and families to enhance their involvement in the program.
- Maintain compliance with all licensing requirements and health regulations.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of children in the facility at all times.
- Collaborate with community organizations to promote the program and enhance resources available to families.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments and feedback from staff, parents, and children.
Qualifications
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
- Prior experience in higher education teaching or administration is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with staff, parents, and community members.
