What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Technician position at Building Advisory Group, LLC?
We are hiring a full-time, hands-on technician to support building maintenance and interior tenant fit-out work in a commercial building. This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, skilled across multiple trades, and comfortable working independently.
What You Will Do
- Replace lights, switches, outlets, and ballasts
- Change HVAC filters and perform basic preventative maintenance
- Handle minor plumbing repairs (toilets, sinks, faucets, leaks)
- Paint touch-ups and basic wall repairs
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests
- Perform interior demolition and clean-up
- Light framing (metal and wood studs)
- Hang and finish drywall
- Install and repair acoustical ceiling grid and tiles
- Install LVP flooring, including prep and transitions
- Complete punch-list and small renovation work
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
What We're Looking For
- Experience in building maintenance and interior construction
- Comfortable with drywall, framing, ceilings, and flooring
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing
- Able to work independently and manage tasks from start to finish
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
- Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work
- Valid driver's license
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Commercial building experience
- OSHA 10
- Ability to read basic plans or sketches
