Position Summary
The Guidewire xCenter and Digital Platform Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Guidewire Digital and xCenter applications to meet business and technical requirements. This role works closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to implement solutions, build integrations, and enhance the platform using Guidewire Studio, Gosu, and APIs. The developer ensures high-quality code, scalable architecture, and adherence to best practices while contributing to continuous improvement of the digital platform.

This role works closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to implement solutions, build integrations, and enhance the platform using Guidewire Studio, Gosu, and APIs. The developer ensures high-quality code, scalable architecture, and adherence to best practices while contributing to continuous improvement of the digital platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance Guidewire xCenters, Digital applications, and Integrations, including customer-facing portals and partnering APIs and webservices.
- Implement integrations with third-party systems using Guidewire APIs, REST, and SOAP services.
- Develop and maintain Gosu scripts, templates, rules, and workflows for digital applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and support QA teams with integration and system testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues.
- Maintain technical documentation of development work, configurations, and integrations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, code quality, and platform performance.
- Proven experience developing Guidewire xCenters, Digital, or portal applications, and Integrations.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Gosu, Guidewire Studio, templates, rules, and workflows.
- Experience integrating Guidewire applications with third-party systems via APIs, REST, SOAP, or web services.
- Familiarity with Guidewire Digital tools and frameworks (xCenters, Customer/Agent Portal).
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, version control, and testing methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.
- 2 or more years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on development in Guidewire platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts, build relationships, and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant function-specific software applications.
