Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse & Material Handler (Forklift & Heavy Lifting) to join our team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling operations. Your expertise in operating heavy equipment and maintaining safety protocols will ensure smooth warehouse operations and accurate inventory management.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, safely to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety standards and OSHA regulations
- Manage inventory levels through regular stock counts and updates within the warehouse management system
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and material handling procedures are followed
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and construction materials with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by following safety protocols and conducting routine inspections
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and shipping & receiving operations
- Skilled in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, safely
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order processing
- Experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus
- Construction or heavy equipment operation experience is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and load/unload processes
