Job Description
Builder's Protection Group is looking to hire a certified part-time inspector in the Coos Bay area. This is a great opportunity for the right inspector to join a dynamic team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections of residential and light commercial new construction projects every 30 days to ensure compliance with International Code Council (ICC) standards, local codes, and approved plans.
- Timely preparation of comprehensive inspection reports using BPG’s report builder app, including detailed notes and extensive photographic documentation of structural, plumbing, electrical, and other systems.
- Identify and document any code violations or construction deficiencies, providing clear recommendations for corrective actions.
- Communicate findings effectively with onsite supervisors, and BPG team members.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all inspection activities.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Current ICC Building Inspector Certification (Residential and/or Commercial).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing building inspections for new construction projects.
- Working knowledge of ICC codes, Oregon building regulations, and local ordinances.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record (travel to local sites required).
- Proficiency with mobile apps and basic office software (e.g., report builder apps, Microsoft Word, Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interactions with clients and team members.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred:
- Associate’s degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) to enhance communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with digital inspection tools or report builder software.
Compensation: Inspectors will be paid on a per inspection basis
