Position Overview
We’re looking for a dependable, safety-minded Delivery Driver to work as part of a two-person delivery crew. You’ll deliver doors, windows, and trim to job sites throughout the Birmingham area. This is a hands-on, physical role that requires strength, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely lift, carry, and handle heavy doors, windows, and millwork throughout the day (often over 100 lbs).
- Load and unload products carefully to prevent damage.
- Operate a large box truck safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with another delivery team member to plan and complete deliveries on schedule.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain required signatures.
- Maintain a clean, organized truck and help with warehouse organization as needed.
- Communicate professionally with builders, superintendents, and coworkers.
- Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally heavier items with team assistance.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and twisting throughout the workday.
- Regularly climbs stairs and navigates uneven or outdoor terrain at job sites.
- Works both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Operates and rides in large box trucks for extended periods.
- Uses hand trucks, dollies, and other moving equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Experience operating a box truck or similar vehicle preferred.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Strong physical stamina and commitment to safe work practices.
- Prior experience in construction, delivery, or warehouse work a plus.
