Responsibilities:
- Install commercial and residential door hardware including locks, hinges, closers, and exit devices
- Read and interpret blueprints, door schedules, and hardware specifications
- Perform on-site hardware installations at customer locations across the greater Columbia area
- Inspect and test installed hardware to ensure proper function and code compliance
- Troubleshoot and repair existing hardware systems as needed
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers to ensure timely completion
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness and safety standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience in hardware installation, carpentry, or a related skilled trade preferred
- Familiarity with commercial door hardware, access control, or architectural hardware is a plus
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and hardware schedules
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical environments
- Dependable, punctual, and professional with strong customer-facing communication skills
