Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Lead Carpenter for high-volume saw operations. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for operating complex component saws to cut planks, timbers, or boards according to work orders.
- You'll review work orders to determine the necessary cuts and adjust the saw accordingly.
- You'll operate the component saw with a computer-controlled touch screen, ensuring accurate and efficient cuts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide training and work direction to other Saw Operators.
- Closely monitor the automatic feeding of lumber to the saw or manually feed it into the machine.
- Coordinate multiple activities associated with saw operations, including picking, staging, stacking, and loading.
Requirements: We're looking for individuals with 1-year prior experience and/or training in related construction or lumber industries. You should also possess excellent mechanical aptitude, attention to quality, quantity, and safety. Additionally, strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
