We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Lead for our busy Fontana branch. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong leadership skills. We're looking for an experienced candidate who can lead by jumping into any role and who can be a strong mentor in teaching both hands on skills but also character.
You’ll be the lead when it comes to moving materials safely, accurately, and efficiently—making sure every order is pulled, staged, loaded, and delivered on time. This is a working lead position: you’ll operate forklifts, organize the yard, and oversee the complete material lifecycle from receiving through shipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team in all yard, warehouse, and logistics operations.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of materials — receiving, labeling, storing, pulling, staging, loading, unloading, and shipping.
- Oversee shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory control to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain an organized, OSHA-compliant, and safety-focused yard and warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently and ensure everyone else does as well.
- Complete and audit paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
- Train, mentor, and hold team members accountable for safety and performance standards.
- Communicate effectively with sales, operations, and logistics teams.
- Provide excellent service to walk-in and contractor customers.

What You Bring
- 3 years of experience in warehouse, yard operations (construction or building materials supply preferred).
- Proven experience as a lead or team leader in a warehouse or yard environment.
- Forklift certification.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, order fulfillment, and material handling best practices.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
