We are seeking a dependable and motivated Ready-Mix Concrete Quality Control Field Technician to support our Quality control Department and help ensure our concrete meets customer and project specifications.
This position involves field testing of ready-mix concrete at customer job sites and working closely with Production Personnel, Drivers, Contractors, and Third-party Inspectors.
Responsibilities
- Perform field testing of fresh concrete, including slump, air content, temperature, and unit weight testing.
- Maintain accurate testing records and quality control documentation.
- Communicate test results to Quality Control Manager and production personnel.
- Assist with troubleshooting concrete performance and quality concerns in the field.
- Inspect concrete materials and monitor compliance with project specifications.
- Represent the company professionally at customer job sites.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, concrete, or quality control experience preferred, but willing to train the right person.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work independently and manage daily field assignments.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic computer and communication skills.
