Role Description The Junior Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Greensboro, NC. This position supports senior designers in developing design concepts, preparing presentations, and assisting with space planning and FF&E selections for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating construction drawings, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, sourcing materials and finishes, and maintaining project documentation. The Junior Interior Designer will help prepare mood boards, sample boards, and digital layouts, and participate in site visits and installations to ensure design intent is realized. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential to deliver consistent, high-quality design solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate concepts into functional layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including familiarity with building codes and documentation standards.
- Experience or education in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and MS Office.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong visual, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate in a team setting, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and respond constructively to feedback.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative on tasks, and support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
