Builder's Discount Center is looking a bilingual inside sales representative that will work with our management team to increase sales by growing existing and new customer business. Developing personal relationships with our customers create a more positive shopping experience for everyone. It is a fast pace sales environment, requiring you to operate the sales counter to process customer transactions and answering sales calls. Our inside sales rep plays an important role in helping our customers select the correct products, ensuring quotes are accurate, and that all customer needs are met. Must have strong people skills and be highly self-motivated.
As an inside sales representative you will begin learning our business in two phases: warehouse operations and inside sales. We believe in order to be an effective sales person you must first understand and learn our products and warehouse operations before moving to the inside sales counter.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take and process orders from customers.
- Generate new and repeat sales by developing positive relationships with customers.
- Create new sales opportunities with existing and new customers through calling and email.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, estimates or returns.
- Recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction.
- Increase sales by up-selling and add-on sales.
- Keep showroom stocked, clean, and organized.
- Assist in scheduled physical inventory cycle counts.
- Present a professional image communicating in a respectful, courteous and ethical manner with customers, vendors, co-workers and supervisors.
- Must be able to work in warehouse conditions with the ability to load lumber, building materials and carry up to 75 lbs.
Skills
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Strong people skills
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers through calling and email
- Must be comfortable in selling and recommending our products.
- Ability to work well with team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Experience
- Sales/Retail experience preferred, but not required.
- Previous work experience in the lumber/plywood industry preferred, but not required.
Builder's Discount Center Locations Hiring
Hours of operation: Monday- Friday 7:30 am-5:30 pm, Sat 7:30 am-1 pm, Closed Sunday.
