What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Manager - Construction Tech position at BuildCorridor?
About our client
We are working with an innovative startup in the construction tech industry that is revolutionizing the industry with innovative technology designed specifically for job sites. Born from the need for efficient time tracking in construction, their mission is to bring workers and companies together through collaborative and transparent solutions. They pride themselves on being approachable, knowledgeable, and passionate about making a tangible difference in day-to-day operations.
They are professional, agile, and focused on delivering high-quality products. Their work environment includes a modern office setting, food provided, work-from-home days, and growth opportunities. As the company scales its product across a growing customer base, we are seeking a Product Manager to own the roadmap and drive products from discovery through launch.
This is an on-site role out of Miami, open to candidates U.S.-based candidates as well as TN and H-1B1 visa-eligible candidates. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are available.
Role overview
You own the product roadmap — hardware and software, discovery through launch. You work directly with the CEO, engineering, and design to turn what contractors, foremen, and field crews actually need into products that get adopted on jobsites, not just demoed in conference rooms. You talk to the field, find the real problem, write the spec, ship it, and measure whether it worked.
This is not a backlog-administrator role and it's not a strategy-deck role. You are the person accountable for what we build and why. If you love getting mud on your boots at a jobsite in the morning and arguing tradeoffs with engineers in the afternoon, this is your job.
Key responsibilities
- Own the roadmap: one prioritized roadmap across hardware and software, balancing customer value, business goals, and technical constraints — and defend every line on it.
- Lead discovery: talk to contractors and field users, run research, and turn what you hear into problem statements sharp enough that engineering never asks "but what are we actually solving?"
- Write specs that ship: crisp PRDs and user stories, prioritized against measurable outcomes. If a ticket is ambiguous, that's on you.
- Drive delivery with engineering and design: concept to launch, making tradeoff calls fast and keeping dates honest.
- Define and track success metrics: every launch has a number attached. Use product analytics to decide what to double down on and what to kill.
- Own the launch, not just the build: partner with sales and customer success on go-to-market so new features get adopted, not just released.
- Close the loop: iterate based on real field usage — shipped is the midpoint, not the finish line.
What you bring
- 5 years of product management in B2B SaaS, with products you shipped end to end — discovery, launch, iteration
- Strong customer research instincts: you get to the real problem in one conversation, not five
- Data-fluent: you use product analytics to prioritize, and you can tell when a metric is lying to you
- Technically fluent: you don't write code, but engineers never have to translate feasibility for you
- Direct, organized communicator who keeps product, engineering, sales, and CS aligned without meetings multiplying
- Comfortable working directly with the CEO, disagreeing out loud, and committing fast
- Nice to have: construction tech, field-workforce, or connected hardware software experience; bilingual English/Spanish
Why join
- Competitive salary stock option eligibility
- 401(k)
- Health, dental & vision insurance
- Paid time off
- Professional development assistance
- Visa sponsorship (TN / H-1B1 eligible) and relocation support for the right candidate
- Real ownership: you own the roadmap for the whole product, reporting directly to the CEO
- A direct, fast-moving team that hates wasted time as much as you do — short meetings, quick decisions, zero process theater
