- This is a program that helps individuals find a job and develop the skills needed to be successful in that job
- A job coach will provide support and training to help individuals learn how to complete job tasks and understand the company's policies and procedures
- Assisting individuals at their workplace to complete tasks successfully
- Helping individuals adjust to the workplace culture and understand the workplace policies
- Providing hands-on training, observation, and evaluation of the individual’s work tasks to help them improve
- Developing a relationship with workplace supervisors to gain feedback on the individual’s performance and to help create a workplace environment that will maximize the individual’s success
- Using BuildAbility’s digital program to log the individual’s progress and performance
- Part-time (20 hours)
- Variable schedule: mornings to evenings
- Hours assigned are subject to change weekly based on availability
- Traveling position
- Primarily based in Los Angeles with occasional travel to the San Fernando Valley region
- Starting at $18.00- $21.00/hour (dependent upon prior experience and qualifications)
- Paid Sick Time (56 hours)

- High school diploma or GED
- Must pass a DOJ Live Scan fingerprinting background clearance
- Valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance
- Willing to travel: 75% - 100%
- Optimistic attitude and ability to give encouraging verbal feedback regularly
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, employers, and others in a positive and constructive manner
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities. If you don’t have experience, we will provide on-the-job training. Some of our best staff did not have experience prior to being hired at BuildAbility!
