Key ResponsibilitiesArt Programming & Instruction
Lead daily art lessons and creative projects following the program’s curriculum and schedule.
Prepare, organize, and clean up all materials needed for each activity while ensuring safe use of supplies and equipment.
Guide campers through creative processes that encourage imagination, experimentation, and artistic confidence.
Adapt projects based on camper age, ability level, and engagement to ensure all children can participate successfully.
Support special art-focused events such as art showcases, mural projects, themed creative days, or collaborative exhibitions.
Camper Supervision & Safety
Maintain active supervision of campers during art sessions, transitions, and daily camp routines.
Promote a positive and inclusive environment where all campers feel encouraged to express themselves creatively.
Ensure proper and safe use of art materials, tools, and equipment at all times.
Follow all safety procedures and immediately report any incidents, concerns, or behavioral issues to leadership.
Program Operations & Teamwork
Collaborate with counselors and leadership to ensure smooth daily program operations.
Assist with attendance tracking, supply inventory, and maintaining an organized art space.
Communicate proactively with the Program Director regarding supply needs, project outcomes, or adjustments to activities.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
Support general camp activities when needed, including arrival and dismissal, lunch supervision, transitions, and field trips.
Camper Experience & Culture
Build positive relationships with campers that encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
Reinforce program values such as respect, creativity, collaboration, and perseverance.
Provide positive guidance, conflict resolution, and encouragement to support campers during challenges.
Inspire curiosity and artistic exploration through engaging, hands-on creative experiences.
Qualifications
Experience working with children in a camp, school, after-school, or enrichment setting.
Comfort facilitating art activities and creative projects (training provided if needed).
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate groups of children.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Must be reliable, punctual, and proactive.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Background check required.
Schedule & Compensation
Seasonal summer role; typically Monday–Friday.
Hours may vary based on program schedule (e.g., 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
Additional hours may be available for special events or extended-day programming.
Compensation based on experience and credentials.
Physical Requirements
Ability to move between indoor and outdoor spaces and carry materials when needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and actively engage with campers.
Ability to bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and assist with activity setup and cleanup.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
