The primary duties of the position are focused on warehousing, customer service, sales, inventory support, unloading supply deliveries and loading customer purchases.

Function/Duties of Position

• Provide information to customers on products we stock. Maintain knowledge of current inventory to appropriately answer customer questions.

• Sell product, and clearly explain return policy.
• Load materials with a forklift or by hand if necessary.
• Perform receiving, stocking, data/sales entry, and responsibilities as necessary to ensure required daily tasks are completed on time, and sufficiently, to meet the customer’s needs.
• Performs requirements of, and maintains compliance with, organizational guidelines and policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. Materials: ensures materials are properly stocked, and marked with product/pricing information. Warehouse: ensures the warehouse is clean and organized. Equipment: provides proper care and use of heavy equipment.

• Operate forklift and pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner to unload and organize inventory and load customer vehicles.

• Have and maintain a valid driver's license. Have ability to transport and refill forklift propane tanks if necessary.

• Maintaining Inventory and shipping documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Forklift experience, certification preferred.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment.
• Conflict resolution skills and ability to be an excellent team player.
• Ability to promote positive customer relations and provider exceptional customer service.
• Must be able to maintain compliance with organizational guidelines and policies.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Yard forklift operator must have ability to lift and carry 35 lbs. unassisted frequently, and up to 80 lbs. on occasional basis.

• Ability to push and pull up to 1200 lbs on a pallet jack. Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, rotate, and stretch frequently while handling product up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to traverse flat, uneven, and/or slopes, frequently while manually controlling large and heavy loads in motion.
• Ability to efficiently move around in the work area. Rapid-Mental/Hand/Eye

Coordination

• Basic math and computer skills for typing up orders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of warehouse experience and two years of customer service experience is preferred.

• Experience in sales or performing warehouse and inventory work.
• Working knowledge of building materials and products.
