Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of 3D printers to optimize performance and print quality
- Troubleshoot software issues related to slicing programs, firmware, and printer interfaces with precision
- Diagnose hardware problems including mechanical components, electronics, and sensors, then execute repairs using hand tools
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to identify faults and implement effective solutions
- Conduct field service visits for on-site repairs and system upgrades at various locations as needed
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve network connectivity issues affecting printer operation and data transfer
- Maintain detailed logs of service activities, repairs, and equipment status for record-keeping and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or in equipment repair within a manufacturing or technical environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools for assembly, disassembly, and repairs
- Familiarity with computer hardware, schematics, and computer networking principles relevant to 3D printing systems
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software problems related to 3D printing applications and firmware updates
- Knowledge of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for various 3D printers and related equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently
- Prior experience in field service roles or working directly on-site at customer locations is highly desirable
