What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mascot Actor position at Build-A-Bear Workshop?
Build-A-Bear Workshop is cele-BEAR-ating Spring with our beary favorite bunny mascot, Pawlette! We are looking for enthusiastic, high-energy individuals to help Pawlette add a little more heart to life by giving hugs and posing for fun photos! Details below.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Meet and greet attendees with a handler present.
-Work well in a team environment.
-Utilize specific signals to communicate non-verbally with handler/helper.
-Take care of costume and props when in your possession.
-Understand and perform series of non-verbal communications and mannerisms specific to the character.
Qualifications:
-Must be in good physical condition and able to lift and wear the costume (10-20lbs).
-Ideal height for costume fit is 5'3"-5'7", moderate build.
-Must embrace core values of Build-A-Bear Workshop and be an active participant in creating Memorable Moments with all guests here to enjoy the experience!
-Must be at least 18 years old and able to work all 3 appearances.
Schedule:
Pawlette will be visiting all workshops on Saturdays, March 16-30 (3/16, 3/23, & 3/30). Shifts for the mascot actor will be from 10:30a-2:30pm. Pawlette will visit the workshop each hour on the hour, and will get breaks to cool off and hydrate between each appearance.
