Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, performing basic maintance work to our fleet and cordinating larger maintenance services. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical, and troubleshooting skills, with experience in vehicle componants and basic maitainance. This role will need require the skill of troubleshooting to dignose repairs themselves or with vendors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a shop independently. Tools are proveded. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of equipment and facilities, maintaining safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Ensuring that fleet vehicles and trailers are inspected and in proper working order.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fleet equipment.
- Troubleshooting broken small equipment that can be repaired or should be replaced.
- Operate in software programs to track maintenance needs and service.
- Utilize a Maintenance Management System for work order management and documentation.
- Assist and direct staff with maintenance projects, meeting deadlines for projects that require equipment.
- Support customer service initiatives by maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
- Wash and Maintain fleet look as well as equipment inventory going in and out.
Requirements
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem solving basic mechanical functions. Small repair work.
- Oil Changing and tire mount and balance.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential.
- Hands-on skills in welding, residential painting, and general maintenance tasks.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Proficiency with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of supervising or leading teams effectively.
- Great Driving Record DMV score must be good.
- Ability to haul trailers and equipment around for maintenance.
- Organized and Clean work area is a must.
- Positive Team player who will communicate well and double check the work they perform.
