Position Overview
Buford Security is seeking a highly alert, disciplined, and professional Armed Security Officer to protect people, property, and assets at assigned client locations. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in professionalism, situational awareness, and decisive action. Officers are expected to maintain a strong security presence, prevent incidents before they occur, and respond confidently and appropriately to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and strategic patrols to deter criminal activity and identify potential risks
- Monitor security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, disturbances, or emergencies
- Enforce site-specific security policies and post orders with professionalism
- De-escalate conflicts using sound judgment, communication, and tactical awareness
- Provide emergency assistance when necessary (First Aid / CPR if certified)
- Maintain accurate, detailed incident and shift reports
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, and law enforcement as required
- Uphold all local, state, and federal laws while operating within company standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service preferred
- Valid armed security license and required certifications per state regulations
- CPR and First Aid certification strongly preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with surveillance systems (CCTV) is a plus
- Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-stress situations
- Excellent communication and observation skills
- Physically capable of standing, walking patrols, and responding to emergencies
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism
