Overview

We are seeking an experienced finance and operations leader to serve as the CFO’s right hand. This role is responsible for leading the accounting department. The ideal candidate is a leader who thrives in a mid-size, hands-on environment and can bring structure, process, and leadership across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

(Additional Duties May Be Added As Needed)

• Own the month-end close process; deliver accurate financial statements within 15 business days.
• Oversee accounting operations including AR, AP, contracts, collections, bank reconciliations, and GL.
• Develop and enforce financial controls, reporting processes, and compliance standards.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting process; assist in delivering quarterly forecasts.
• Prepare board-level financial reporting packages in partnership with the CFO.
• Mentor and develop staff accountants, AR/AP specialists, and managers; build a high-performing team.
• Implement process improvements and system upgrades across finance and administration.
• Coordinate with external providers like tax accountants, vendors, and auditors.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• BS in Accounting or Finance.
• 7 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience managing both professional and hourly staff, including manager-level.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Comfortable in a small to mid-sized company environment with a broad scope of responsibilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
