Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Insurance Advisor position with Buffer Insurance's Medicare/Individual team. The role is based in Roanoke, Texas. The Insurance Advisor will meet with individuals to assess coverage needs, explain policy options, and recommend tailored insurance solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting needs analyses, preparing quotes, processing applications, and maintaining accurate client records. The role also involves answering client inquiries, handling policy changes, coordinating with carriers, and following up to ensure client satisfaction and retention. The Insurance Advisor will collaborate with team members, stay current on industry developments, and uphold compliance and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Insurance knowledge with the ability to interpret policies and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Analytical skills to assess risk, compare options, and discuss cost-effective plans.
- Consulting abilities to perform needs assessments, provide guidance, and build long-term advisory relationships.
- Customer Service and Communication skills to listen actively, respond promptly, and explain complex information clearly.
- Relevant state insurance license (or eligibility to obtain within 45 days), with prior experience in insurance advisory preferred.
- Proficiency with office software and CRM tools, along with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Roanoke, TX, collaborate with a team, and adhere to regulatory and ethical requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education is beneficial.
- Salary: $40,000 - $48,000 base salary per year, commensurate with experience
