Now entering its fourth season, Buffalo Tailgates is expanding capacity and offerings, including live entertainment, photo booths, VIP tickets, corporate tent rentals, and named food and beverage partners. It has grown from a passion project into a seasonal landmark and a centerpiece of Bills country before the game starts.
Role Description The Food Runner is a part-time, on-site role based in Buffalo, NY, responsible for ensuring that food and beverages are delivered quickly and accurately to guests throughout the tailgate venue. Daily tasks include running orders from the kitchen and bar to designated areas, assisting with food and beverage setup, and supporting expeditors to keep service flowing smoothly during peak game-day periods. The Food Runner will help maintain clean, organized service stations, restock supplies, and communicate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to address guest needs. This role also involves engaging with guests in a friendly, professional manner, helping create an efficient, high-energy environment that reflects the Buffalo Tailgates experience.
Qualifications
- Experience or familiarity with food service and food & beverage operations, particularly in fast-paced or event-based settings.
- Strong communication skills to relay information clearly between cooks and bartenders

- Customer service skills with a focus on courtesy, professionalism, and creating a welcoming environment for diverse guests.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry food and beverage items, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable attendance on home game days, weekends, and evenings; flexibility for extended shifts during peak events.
- Prior experience in hospitality, stadium events, or high-volume environments is preferred but not required.
