Job Overview
The role of the RN1 (Psychiatric) in the Risk Management Department will investigate incidents relating to medication errors, adverse drug reactions, falls, and other clinically related events. The RN1 will participate in various committees and workgroups, allowing for participation that is meaningful by identifying potential risks and being solution focused in mitigating risks with the desire to improve patient safety and outcomes. The RN1 will work alongside departments to recognize potential hazards in the environment. The RN1 will play a critical role in improving the culture of safety.
Duties include:
· Manages all aspects of reportable incidents as required by OMH and The Justice Center.
· Investigates serious incidents and conducts special investigations in accordance to oversight guidelines.
· Compiles all investigative materials and reports that is presented to the Incident Review Committee and oversight bodies.
· Will work with various departments to ensure corrective actions are completed.
· Attends and participates in various meetings, committees, and workgroups.
· Is an active participant in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) groups following a near miss or significant event.
· Collaberate with various departments to ensure the continued implementation and compliance of ObservSMART
Note: The selected candidate will be required to attend the OMH Special Investigator Training.
Pay: $96,147.00 - $105,138.00 per year
