Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Sleep Medicine

We are currently seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Sleep Medicine office. Patients will be seen at 325 Essjay in Williamsville.

Schedule:

Full Time - 40 hours - Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Job duties included, but are not limited to:

• Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. Reviews patient records.
• Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
• Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Establishes presumptive diagnosis.
• Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
• Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
• Administers injections, immunizations and oral medications. Sutures wounds. Prepares written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances.
• Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education.
• Assists physicians by recording patient progress notes, issues diagnostic orders and transcribes orders.
• Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
• Performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
• Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
• Complies with BMG Corporate Compliance Policy and HIPAA regulations.
• Will participate in worksite safety training programs.
• Will comply with all Group policies and procedures, including mandatory annual in-services
• Other tasks as assigned/required

Qualifications:

• NYS Physician Assistant License or NYS Nurse Practitioner License

Pay: $90,446.40 - $135,669.60 per year

Experience:

• Sleep Medicine: 1 year (Preferred)
