Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Buffalo, NY. As Chief Engineer, you will oversee the engineering department and ensure the property’s physical upkeep, maintenance, and safety. Responsibilities include managing maintenance operations, supervising engineering staff, addressing facility repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance programs. You will work closely with other departments to ensure optimal guest experience and compliance with local codes and brand standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of maintenance operations, building systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Experience leading and supervising engineering teams, ensuring effective collaboration
- Proficiency in developing and executing preventative maintenance plans and safety protocols
- Ability to identify and address facility repair needs promptly and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
- Working knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with diverse teams
- Ability to work on-site in Buffalo, NY and possess flexibility for operational needs
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; relevant certifications or licenses are a plus
- Experience in a hospitality or hotel environment is advantageous but not required
